The ambitious sci-fi RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, has achieved an impressive milestone by selling more than 30 million copies worldwide. This announcement was made by CD Projekt’s chief financial officer, Piotr Nielubowicz, as reported by VGC. He shared this exciting news along with the company’s financial results for the quarter ending in September.
In addition to Cyberpunk 2077’s success, the Phantom Liberty expansion has also done remarkably well, with over eight million units sold so far.
Looking ahead, Cyberpunk 2077 is set to make its debut on Mac devices soon. Plus, fans of the Cyberpunk universe can look forward to a new animation project currently in the works.
“I have some great news from Night City,” Nielubowicz stated enthusiastically. “Cyberpunk 2077 has surpassed the 30 million copies mark, and Phantom Liberty has hit the eight million sales milestone.
“These are not just numbers; they represent the vast fan community and the immense interest in the Cyberpunk world. Both of these achievements are incredibly significant to us, particularly as we’ve recently announced plans to bring the game and its expansion to Mac devices with Apple Silicon chips next year.
“I’m also thrilled to reveal that we are currently developing another animation project set in the Cyberpunk universe, which will soon be available on Netflix.”
