Devs United Games, well-known for their Quest-exclusive hit, Real VR Fishing, has finally revealed some exciting news: the beloved VR fishing experience is set to make its debut on PC VR headsets next month.
Kicking off in early December, Real VR Fishing is landing on SteamVR with all the familiar gameplay elements and pricing as seen on the Quest. Fans of the game can look forward to diving into all the exciting DLCs right on Steam at launch. This includes the US West Coast, US East Coast, and both parts of the Japan DLC, offering a rich variety of content from day one.
The base game promises an impressive offering with 40 distinct fishing spots and over 150 species of fish to reel in. Meanwhile, the additional DLC packs expand the adventure with 95 more fishing locations and more than 300 new types of fish waiting to be caught.
Though the Quest version supports both solo and four-player multiplayer modes, the Steam release won’t include cross-play multiplayer compatibility for Quest, Pico, and PC VR platforms—a slight letdown for those hoping to fish with friends across different VR systems.
What’s more, the Steam version isn’t just a direct port. It comes packing some neat features like built-in YouTube and web browsing, monthly updates, and even options for customizing your virtual aquarium.
Originally launched for Quest back in late 2019, Real VR Fishing has carved out a spot as the platform’s leading fishing game, boasting an impressive user rating of 4.6 out of 5 from over 7,200 players.
If you’re eager to cast your digital line, you can already add Real VR Fishing to your Steam wishlist ahead of its early December release.
