We’ve been thrilled to see how much support and engagement the Xbox app has garnered on Windows PC over the past year. Today, we’re announcing that the new Home experience, previously tested with Xbox Insiders, is now available to all players using the Xbox app on Windows PC. This update promises to make it quicker and easier for gamers to access their favorite titles and explore exciting new ones.
The revamped Home now showcases featured content, helping players stay informed about the latest game releases, upcoming events, newly added Game Pass content, sales, and more. You’ll also discover curated collections and personalized recommendations, along with enticing deals and discounts. Plus, the “Jump back in” feature in Compact Mode allows players to dive straight back into their gameplay from the game’s hub with just a click.
While it’s true that many of us turn to the app to find and launch fantastic titles from Game Pass, the Xbox app is also shaping up to be an excellent hub for discovering amazing Xbox games that aren’t included in Game Pass.
Earlier this summer, we partnered with game creators to integrate all PC games with Xbox features into the Xbox app. We’re excited about what the future holds as more Xbox games make their way to Windows PC. Nearly 400 titles that were previously hard to find or purchase are now accessible in the Xbox app.
This list includes a plethora of games from established Japanese developers like Kemco and Kairosoft, alongside noteworthy titles such as “Shovel Knight Treasure Trove” by Yacht Club, “The Jackbox Party Pack,” and “The Invincible” by Double 11, to name a few.
What’s more, over 100 of these newly added titles are Xbox Play Anywhere games. So, if you purchase a game on your Xbox console, you can also enjoy it on your PC and vice versa. This universal ownership, combined with universal cloud saves on Xbox and cross-play capabilities between console and PC (and potentially other platforms, pending developer approval), is something players truly appreciate.
As the Windows handheld gaming category continues to expand, this strategy allows developers to engage with current and future gamers wherever they are, offering them the freedom and flexibility to enjoy their favorite games with friends, regardless of location.
