Exciting news for fans of engineering puzzles: a beloved bridge-building sandbox is set to debut on the Quest platform this week, offering an array of challenges in both virtual and mixed reality modes.
Initially, Bridge Constructor Studio was scheduled to launch last week, bringing its unique bridge construction gameplay to Quest in VR. Additionally, it introduces the ability to design, test, and refine your structures in mixed reality on the Quest 3. Even though it’s arriving slightly later than planned, it promises to deliver a rewarding experience.
Launching on December 12th, Bridge Constructor Studio comes packed with 70 engaging puzzles in its campaign. Players are tasked with guiding various vehicles from one point to another, employing a variety of construction materials such as wood, steel, cables, concrete pillars, and roadways.
Unlike the earlier flat-screen versions of Bridge Constructor, or its main rival Poly Bridge, this XR version doesn’t impose budget restrictions or material limits by default. However, for those seeking an extra challenge or aiming for special recognition, these can be enabled according to the developers.
Beyond its main campaign, the game also introduces a Scenario Creation Mode. This feature allows players to craft and play their own bridge-building scenarios, providing space to save up to 40 custom levels to their profile for endless personal creativity.
Developed by ClockStone STUDIO, the masterminds behind the XR adaptation of LEGO Bricktales in 2023 and various versions of Bridge Constructor since its inception in 2011, this new release is priced at $10. It will be exclusively available for Quest 2 and 3 starting December 12th. Interested players can check it out on the Horizon Store.
