Rocksteady Studios is wrapping up its development efforts on the troubled game “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” next month. The announcement came via a blog post from the studio, where they revealed that after the release of Season 4 Episode 8—set for January—there will be no further new content for the super villain-themed game.
Rocksteady stated, “This episode will be the last for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.” Despite this, they reassured players that all online features will remain accessible. This means you’ll still be able to enjoy cooperative play with friends and revisit previous seasonal and episodic content. Additionally, they’ve introduced a new Offline mode, which allows players to access the main story campaign and all post-launch content without the need for an internet connection.
The game, which launched in January, received a lukewarm reception and struggled with sales. Warner Bros, the publisher, admitted that the game’s performance was below their expectations.
