Back in July, “Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable” made its debut on Quest in Early Access. Initially, players had access to just one mission or ‘chapter’ along with some unlockable blades. This was the first wave of content, with promises of more to come in the following months. Fast forward to the present, and the developers at UNIVRS have unveiled the ‘Complete Edition,’ expanding the game to include four chapters.
When we first tried out the game in July, it felt more like a tech demo. It offered a glimpse into the core gameplay, but was limited to just that single chapter, complemented by an infinite wave mode with a classic scoreboard.
The Complete Edition now allows players to dive into chapters three and four, including the Epilogue, where they face the formidable Armored Titan boss. Additionally, the game is now offering a new co-op mode, where you and a friend can experience all the chapters together.
With this full release, UNIVRS has hinted at an upcoming ‘Thunder Spear Unlock Event’ set for January. They’ve described it as a “global challenge,” and there’s also a free update in the pipeline for release in 2025, according to the game’s official webpage.
While our initial impressions noted a somewhat “rough” experience earlier this year, the game seems to have struck a chord with its fans. As of now, “Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable” holds a solid 4.5 out of 5 user rating on the Horizon Store.
For those who were part of the Early Access, Part 2 is available as a complimentary download. Newcomers have the option to purchase Part 1 for $8, Part 2 for $12 (with Part 1 required), or both parts bundled together for $20. The game is compatible with Quest 2, Quest 3/S, and Quest Pro.
