Dragon Age: The Veilguard seems to have reached the end of its post-launch updates, if the latest patch notes are anything to go by. EA recently disclosed that 1.5 million players have experienced the game, falling 50% short of their initial target. This shortfall has reportedly led them to cease ongoing support just three months after launch.
Bioware introduced the fifth update for Dragon Age: The Veilguard by stating that from now on they’ll only be keeping an eye out for serious bugs and issues, sparking widespread speculation that this might be the last major update for the game.
From the patch notes, “We were thrilled with the game’s stability at launch and hope you’ve appreciated our Quality of Life updates since then. With the game now in a stable condition, we’re shifting to actively monitor for any game-breaking bugs should they arise.”
It certainly feels like this could be the final significant update, even though Bioware hasn’t outright confirmed it.
