DodgeCraft has arrived to put your reflexes to the test with its brand-new VR sports training game, now available on both Quest and PlayStation VR2 platforms. This is the second offering from the Belfast-based studio, INCISIV Ltd, who previously brought us CleanSheet Soccer.
In DodgeCraft, the game intriguingly mixes high-speed action with clever feints, aiming to challenge your agility and deceptive skills. The game includes various modes that will test your ability to dodge and tackle. Check out the action for yourself below.
Currently, there are two main gameplay modes available. ‘Dodge’Em’ is all about full-body exercise; you’ll find yourself navigating through a hazardous asteroid belt, dodging meteorites by dipping and weaving. Meanwhile, ‘Run the Gauntlet’ has you square up against waves of bots and humanoid competitors, each employing “deceptive maneuvers” to outwit you. For those with the equipment, there’s also support for mixed reality.
In a statement, INCISIV’s CEO, Professor Cathy Craig, mentioned that DodgeCraft draws inspiration from her own experiences and challenges in sports. Previously playing as an Ulster Rugby out-half, she often hesitated when it came to making tackles.
She explains, “As a player, I often held back and didn’t commit to the hit. DodgeCraft provides a fantastic opportunity to learn how to be a proactive defender without the fear of getting hurt. Simply put, you can train without the pain!”
If you’re ready to dive in, DodgeCraft is available now on both the Meta Quest platform and PlayStation VR2.
