Although there’s no official confirmation from The Pokemon Company about which starters we’ll actually see in Pokemon Legends: Z-A, the evidence suggesting it will be Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie is piling up. These three were the iconic starters from Pokemon X and Y, both based in the Kalos region, which makes them fitting candidates. Not long ago, a notable leaker hinted at their return, and the recent promotional artwork for the 2025 Pokemon World Championships featuring Fennekin and Chespin has only fueled these rumors.

Considering the new game is set in the Kalos region, many fans might have naturally assumed Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie would lead the roster as starters.
