Behaviour Interactive has just rolled out the detailed April 2025 content roadmap for their popular asymmetrical horror game, Dead by Daylight. Since its debut in 2016, this one-versus-four multiplayer game has captivated over 60 million players across various platforms.
The game’s allure largely comes from its intriguing crossovers. Over time, Dead by Daylight has enriched its PVP experience by integrating legendary villains from franchises like Stranger Things, Silent Hill, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. This latest roadmap sheds light on what players can anticipate in April.
A highlight of this update is the fresh crossover with Tokyo Ghoul, which kicked off on April 2. In this event, players can now encounter Ken Kaneki, known as The Ghoul, as a new killer. For those playing as survivors, there are a variety of costumes inspired by the anime to check out. Adding to the excitement, the fan-favorite Blood Moon event makes a comeback from April 7 to 29, offering daily log-in bonuses.
On April 12, Behaviour Interactive plans to steal the show at Horrorcon in Scotland with a real-life Dead by Daylight event. Following closely, on April 15, players get a first peek at the next Player Test Build (PTB), which promises a sneak preview of upcoming development tweaks and balance adjustments. Before the month ends, players can enjoy a new Techwear collection and a Fragment Frenzy mini-event scheduled for April 22.
However, not everything is sunny. Fans will notice the removal of the Hellraiser chapter this month. Introduced in 2021, the Cenobite, or Pinhead, quickly became a beloved character. Though no official reason for its removal was announced, speculation points to possible licensing challenges. Fortunately, those who previously unlocked Pinhead can still enjoy playing as this iconic horror figure, even if the chapter is no longer available.
This April looks promising for players, with plenty to look forward to. The comeback of the Blood Moon event, which thrilled fans last year, is eagerly anticipated. Moreover, the Tokyo Ghoul crossover may mark a new chapter for Dead by Daylight, potentially paving the way for more anime characters to join the chase against the survivors.
