It was the night before the update, and gamers everywhere were firing up their Xbox consoles, diving deep into the game world as the hours ticked away. Just as they were getting comfortable, an unexpected notification popped up, signaling a new system update was ready to install. What a delightful surprise! Packed with numerous fixes and exciting new features, it was exactly what players needed, and soon enough, they were back in action battling virtual foes.
Hello, Insiders! Hold onto your festive hats because we have a joyful community update lined up for you. First and foremost, the team sends you warm wishes for the happiest of holidays and a safe entrance into the new year. I must admit, I’m not a fan of the short days and frosty nights, but even the cold weather can’t dampen our spirits this year. With the early dusk and the chill in the air, it’s the perfect excuse to snuggle indoors and get lost in the Xbox world.
Just like the previous years, we’ve hit pause on rolling out new preview builds for both console and PC to ensure a seamless gaming experience during the holiday period. But rest assured, we’re hard at work on future updates! We’re still reviewing your feedback and will be on hand to tackle any issues that arise. Make sure to keep an eye on the Insider Hub for fresh content throughout December and January!
### From Our Team to You
We can’t thank you enough for making this community so extraordinary. I’m truly proud to be part of the Xbox Insider Program, and your support has been invaluable. Before signing off, I caught up with a few team members to see what they’re up to this month—be it gaming, relaxing, or anything else they wanted to share. Here’s a peek at their plans:
Jon is determined to wrap up “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” and the “Ode to Castlevania” DLC for “Vampire Survivors.” Joshua is gearing up for his annual marathon of classic holiday films and diving into “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.” Meanwhile, Tim is challenging himself with “Nine Sols” and is excited to spend time with visiting family members. Donovan is eagerly anticipating a month filled with “Path of Exile 2,” family bonding, and indulging in nostalgic Christmas movies for that holiday vibe. Sally plans to savor cookies, enjoy cozy gaming sessions, and hopes for new “PowerWash Simulator” DLC, plus lots of time with loved ones.
Leland shared his unique tradition: each year, he sets aside a week in December to immerse himself in story-games that have been patiently waiting on his list. With only two allowed at a time, they must battle it out if another contender arises. During this magical week, Leland disconnects from the world, allowing himself to be completely absorbed in these narrative adventures.
As for me, I’ve conquered the Black Ops 6 camo grind, so now I can fully enjoy the game! I’m also setting my sights on finishing the achievements for “Aliens: Dark Descent,” all while waging war against Jack Frost to keep the pond for my geese from freezing over, as it has many times before.
And what about you? We’re eager to hear what’s keeping you busy this month, whether it’s gaming plans or holiday activities. Join our subreddit discussion at the top December Community update post. I’ll be dropping by as ScantilyCloud, ready to chat and answer your questions. Don’t hesitate to share your game recommendations for 2024 with us—our gaming backlogs can never be too extensive!
