This email included a hint that might reveal when the Switch 2 will launch. Georg shared that the email mentioned the game would be available in “Q1 2025 on PC (Steam), Xbox One & Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch(es)!” The plural “Switch(es)” caught his attention, suggesting it might refer to the upcoming Switch 2.
If this game does debut on the Switch 2 alongside its release on other platforms, it would imply that the Switch 2 could launch within the first few months of 2025. Assuming there’s truth to this, it suggests a surprisingly tight timeline for marketing, which is unusual in the console world. Generally, consoles are announced well ahead of their release. Take the original Nintendo Switch, which was unveiled a good five months before it entered the market, or the Xbox Series X/S, revealed nearly a year prior to its global launch.
