If you’re a PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium subscriber, you’re in for some exciting additions this year. Currently, four new games will be entering the service’s Game Catalog right at their launch, including Remedy Entertainment’s anticipated multiplayer first-person shooter, FBC: Firebreak, which is set to release in the summer of 2025.
FBC: Firebreak transports players back to The Oldest House, the formidable headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Control, which fans might remember from the critically acclaimed game, Control. This time, however, Remedy Entertainment is turning its focus towards delivering an engaging gameplay experience rather than a narrative-driven one. They’re reimagining the live-service experience by ditching the usual FOMO elements, ensuring that all playable content is available for free and allowing players to enjoy the game at their own pace.
In the latest trailer, we get a glimpse of the Paper Chase Job, one of the several missions in FBC: Firebreak. Here, the Firebreak Initiative faces the quirky task of tidying up a section of The Oldest House overwhelmed with rogue sticky notes. The trailer also highlights the diverse loadouts players will deploy as they strive to contain the Hiss threat.
Upon its release, FBC: Firebreak will be accessible on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam.
This game is just one of four that will grace the Game Catalog at launch. Also making their way to subscribers are Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, Blue Prince, and Abiotic Factor. For those interested, the first installment of Lost Records is already available for PS Plus Extra and Premium members, with the sequel dropping next month.
Additionally, PS Plus members can enjoy early access to the PlayStation Store’s Spring Sale, offering fantastic discounts on popular titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. It’s a great time to be a subscriber, with compelling deals and fresh games on the horizon.
